Overview

What determines germination is not the temperature of the greenhouse air but that of the compost the seed sits in. Even when the greenhouse air is at 15 °C, the compost often stays at 10–14 °C; at that temperature peppers and aubergines either do not germinate at all or germination is spread over 15–20 days. Both solutions here heat the root zone from below; heating the root rather than the air lowers the energy cost.

At a glance

Heating from the root zoneThe heat is delivered to the medium the seed sits in, not to the air.
Made to your dimensionsThe mat is made to the size of your bench; the table is produced in different dimensions.
Digital temperature controlThe target is read by a sensor and the system cuts out on target.
Our own production since 1995CE-certified manufacture, delivery throughout Türkiye.

Where it is used

Sapling bench heating mat

If you already have a bench: you buy the heating layer only

Laid on the base of your existing sapling, rooting or plug-tray bench; it heats the root zone from the bench floor, beneath the trays or beneath the soil. It is made to the dimensions of your bench. The price is for 1 m²; the controller is not included and is selected separately according to the size of the project.

GrowMax heated production bench

If you are also building the bench: frame, top and heating together

A galvanised frame, galvanised sheet top and TMax heating cable laid into the base come as a single product. The standard size is 1 m × 2 m with a height of 96 cm. It is modular: benches are added side by side to build a run of any length. The three-mode digital panel lets you run different benches in the same greenhouse at different temperatures.

Is this the right product?

A good fit when

  • You raise seedlings, saplings or rooted cuttings in a greenhouse.
  • You are unhappy with slow germination and uneven emergence in winter.
  • You want to lower costs by heating the root zone rather than the whole greenhouse.
  • You need to run different species at different temperatures in the same greenhouse.
  • You are expanding your facility in stages — the structure extends by adding units side by side.

Not the right choice when

  • You do not use benches and want to heat beneath the greenhouse soil — a greenhouse soil heating cable is the better solution.
  • Your aim is frost protection rather than raising seedlings — lower-rated solutions are sufficient.
  • You want to heat the greenhouse air: these systems heat the root, not the air.
  • You are heating a few pots at hobby scale; a production bench is more than you need.

Installation

The heating mat is laid on the base of your bench, positioned beneath the plug trays or soil, and connected to the control unit. On a GrowMax production bench the sequence is as follows:

Ordering and delivery

  1. Same dayDimensions and requirements established
  2. 1–2 daysEngineering: output, cable length, panel capacity
  3. Made to measureOrder confirmation and manufacture
  4. Shipping timeDelivery throughout Türkiye
  5. Telephone and WhatsAppInstallation and commissioning support

Warranty and support

The heating mat carries a 2-year manufacturer warranty. The GrowMax production bench falls under the GreenMax tier of SafeMax: 5 years against manufacturing defects; 2 years on the control panel, sensors and electrical components and on the galvanised structure. The warranty starts automatically with the product invoice. Technical support is available Monday–Saturday 09:00–17:00, both before and after installation. Shipping is available throughout Türkiye. We provide specification support for public tenders. ISITMAX has carried out its own CE-certified manufacturing since 1995.

Frequently asked questions

What does the price cover?
For the mat, the price is for 1 m²; you order as many square metres as you need and select the controller separately. On the GrowMax side the price is for the standard model: a bench measuring 1 m × 2 m and 96 cm high.
How much electricity does it use?
A standard 1 × 2 m GrowMax bench has a connected load of 400 W. Under thermostat control, running an average of 10 hours a day, that is 4 kWh a day and roughly 120 kWh a month; in a facility with 10 benches, about 1,200 kWh a month. Underlay insulation brings these figures down.
Why heat beneath the bench rather than the whole greenhouse?
Ten benches means 20 m² of growing area. To achieve the same result with a boiler you would have to heat the whole greenhouse — 200 m², for example. Heat escaping through the roof, doors being opened and ventilation all create continuous losses on the boiler side; with under-bench heating those losses do not exist.
What is the difference between the control unit modes?
Mode 1 single bench: one sensor, one cable circuit. Mode 2 multiple benches, common control — all at the same temperature. Mode 3 multiple benches, independent control — each bench with its own sensor. If you run different species at different temperatures, Mode 3; for single-crop production, Mode 2 is more economical.
Is the underlay insulation mandatory?
No, it is optional; the system works without it. The underlay stops heat escaping into the bench sheet, so the system stays on target longer. 7 mm for temperate and 10 mm for cold regions.
