Snow and ice melting cables are electric heating cables laid beneath the ground or a metal surface to prevent snow build-up and ice formation. They work on surfaces that become unusable when frozen — ramps, courtyards, footpaths, asphalt roads and railway track. The concrete curing cable in the same family allows concrete poured in winter conditions to set without freezing.
It has a 3 m cold lead at each end; both the start and the end of the cable must return to the control panel. The most economical option if you can plan the route as a loop.
There is a cold lead at one end only; the other end is terminated at the factory. This simplifies installation on routes where returning to the control panel from the end of the cable would be difficult.
It consists of a silicone-coated heating cable, a copper braid and an XLPE outer sheath; it has mechanical protection and earthing. Because hot asphalt is laid directly over it, a standard cable is not used here.
An economical single-use cable designed for pouring and curing in cold climates. It is not a permanent system: once the concrete has set, the cable stays inside and its job is done.
Made with a silicone outer sheath rated to 250 °C and a metal braid; it has an integral cold lead, so no separate connection kit is required. It is manufactured to project-specific ratings.

The cable is laid beneath the surface to be heated and fixed along its route. The laying spacing is determined by the target power density; the cables must not touch or cross one another at any point. Observe the minimum bending diameter — 42 mm for TMaxPro and T2MaxPro. Plan in advance the route by which the cold leads will reach the control panel.
According to manufacturer data, TMaxPro and T2MaxPro carry a 10-year manufacturer warranty, and the under-asphalt, concrete curing and railway track cables a 2-year one. The warranty covers faults arising from manufacture and materials; cables crushed, punctured or bent below the minimum bending diameter during laying, runs energised in free air, and cables cut on site fall outside its scope.
