Overview

The bucket heating jacket is a flexible electric heating wrap that encloses a standard 19-litre bucket from the outside, rated at 400 W and adjusted by a digital thermostat over a 0–90 °C range. It prevents small volumes of liquid from freezing, solidifying or thickening excessively; it is common with chemical, food, pharmaceutical and paint-grade liquids. It is the smallest member of the drum heating family: it works by plugging it in, without lifting the bucket out of place.

The jacket contacts the side wall of the bucket and transfers heat to the liquid by conduction. Inside there is an aluminium-layered, silicone-insulated glass fibre braided heating element, fixed to the jacket with Kevlar stitching. On the outside, a special double-layer carbon insulation stops heat from escaping, and the outermost layer is a waterproof, stain-resistant polyester fabric. Heating is single-zone: the wrapped surface warms up all at once, with no hot spot forming.

Where it is used

Standard

P400 — 400 W, 19 litres, 1050 × 330 mm

The only model in the catalogue. It is dimensioned for standard 19-litre industrial buckets. Most chemical, honey, oil and pharmaceutical liquids are thawed at this power. In stock, ready to fit.

Optional

Custom sizes and custom power ratings

If your bucket is not a standard size, or the process calls for a different power, the jacket is made to the project. Let us know the diameter and height of your bucket, the substance and the target temperature.

IndustryTypical application and benefit
ChemicalsChemicals, solvents, liquid reagents — a rise in viscosity is prevented
Food and beverageSyrup, oil, honey — solidification is prevented, flow is not interrupted
PharmaceuticalsSensitive liquids and solutions — the compound retains its chemical structure
Industrial processPaint, varnish, coatings — the liquid stays at a workable consistency

Is this the right product?

A good fit when

  • You keep a chemical, honey, oil, syrup, paint or pharmaceutical liquid in a 19-litre bucket.
  • You need to stop the liquid from freezing or from thickening to the point where it can no longer be pumped.
  • You need to hold the temperature precisely below 70 °C.
  • You do not want a dedicated electrical circuit installed — a 230 V socket is enough.
  • You move the bucket around the plant and the jacket has to travel with it.

Not the right choice when

  • If you work with a 120 or 200 litre container — the canister and drum heating jackets are separate products.
  • If you are heating a 1000 litre IBC tank — the tank heating jacket for 1000 litre IBC tanks is made for the cubic geometry.
  • If you are heating a cylindrical bottle or a gas cylinder — the gas cylinder heating jacket is the right product for cylindrical bottles.
  • If you need to take the liquid above 70 °C.
  • If you only need to melt sediment that has settled at the bottom; the jacket wraps the side wall.

Installation

Yes — the bucket heating jacket requires no installation. You wrap the jacket around the bucket, lock the steel buckle with the polyester strap and plug it into a 230 V socket. No electrician, no wiring run and no drilling are needed; the product is held in stock and ships ready to fit.

Frequently asked questions

What temperature does the bucket heating jacket reach?
The control unit is set over a 0–90 °C range, and the jacket surface reaches at most 70 °C. The temperature the liquid will reach depends on the substance, the fill level and the ambient temperature. If you need to go above 70 °C, this model is not suitable.
How long does it take to heat 19 litres of water?
It goes from 10 °C to 50 °C in about 6.4 hours and consumes 2.56 kWh. The loss-free physical minimum is 0.88 kWh and 2.2 hours; the difference is heat escaping through the open top and the base of the bucket. Oil and resin heat up faster.
What does it add to the electricity bill?
At one heating cycle a day it comes to about 7.68 TL, roughly 230 TL a month. The calculation assumes 2.56 kWh and 3 TL/kWh. Standby consumption is below this figure.
Can I just plug it in, or is installation needed?
You plug it straight into a socket; no installation is needed. The jacket runs on 230 V, has a 3 metre lead with a plug and is protection class II. It is enough to wrap it around the bucket, lock the buckle and enter the temperature.
Can I fit this jacket to a 200 litre drum?
No. The jacket measures 1050 × 330 mm and is made for the circumference of a 19-litre bucket; it cannot wrap a 200 litre drum. For drums the drum heating jacket is used, for 120 litre canisters the canister heating jacket, and for 1000 litre IBC tanks the IBC tank heating jacket.
