Überblick
The Floor Heating Mat is heating cable stitched onto fibreglass mesh at fixed spacing and made up into a roll; in the ISITMAX catalogue it goes by the name EasyMat. The heater inside it is TMax cable itself, the core of the HomeMax family — so the power steps, the protection class and the warranty period are exactly the same as for floor heating cable. The difference is in the application: the spacing calculation is taken off your hands, and you unroll the mat and cover it with floor mortar. It is used directly beneath concrete, screed and ceramic; beneath parquet, a protective screed goes in between.

Ist dies das richtige Produkt?
Passend, wenn
- You want to lay a wide, flat floor quickly and have no intention of dealing with cable spacing calculations.
- Your covering is ceramic, granite, porcelain or natural stone; the mat will stay beneath the floor mortar.
- The rise in level matters to you: the mesh and cable together are 6 mm thick.
- You are at the renovation or shell construction stage and 3 – 5 cm of screed can be poured on the floor.
- The net area you will heat is above 1 m²; you can work the measurement out before ordering.
Nicht geeignet, wenn
- If your floor is narrow, full of recesses or dense with services — floor heating cable is far easier to apply, at the same price.
- If you cannot pour screed and will go directly beneath laminate parquet — carbon heating film is made for this job: 200 W/m², under 1 mm thick, 2-year warranty.
- If you are heating a surface where a permanent carpet will be laid — heating under carpet is not a system we recommend; the carpet area is left outside the heated area.
- If you are heating a floor in the open, exposed to outdoor conditions — this product has no UV resistance; see the snow and ice melting category.
- If you are looking for the thermostat and the installation materials ready in one box — the bathroom and kitchen products, set up for a particular space, come with an area range and a thermostat selection.
Installation
Laying the mat is easy; the critical half of the job is how it is covered over. The order is as follows.
Do not put heavy or sharp material on top of the cables. Stacks of floor tiles, marble slabs and machines with cutting edges are not set down on a laid mat; the mesh is there to hold the cable in line, not to carry them.

What is the difference between EasyMat and floor heating cable?
The heater in both is the same TMax cable; the only difference is how the cable sits on the floor. On EasyMat the cable is stitched onto the mesh at the correct spacing at the factory, while with cable you set the spacing yourself using the fixing strip. The power steps, the protection class, the warranty and the price per square metre are the same.
If the mat is too long, can I cut it?
You can cut the mesh, never the heating cable. The mesh is cut to free the cable, its direction is turned and it is fixed to the floor with the fixing strip; while doing so, never go below the cable spacing given in the manual. Cutting the cable alters the resistance and takes the product outside the warranty.
My room is 10 m² — how many square metres of mat should I buy?
Usually less than that. Once the wall margins, the footprints of fixed furniture and the gaps between strips are deducted, 8 m² is often the right figure for a 10 m² floor. Work out the net surface to be heated and order that much.
Is this power enough in a poorly insulated building?
It is. All four steps in the catalogue are standard values determined for use as main heating and do not change from building to building. Poor insulation affects not the power but the running time: the system runs for longer to stay at the target temperature, and that shows on the bill. Insulation underlay and a weekly programme are the most practical way of shortening that time.
Is the thermostat included in the price?
It is not. From this page you buy the heating element; the thermostat is mandatory but is a separate product, chosen from the thermostat page. The largest area a single thermostat manages is 12 m²; above that a second thermostat is needed.
