Überblick
A heated pipe jacket is a sleeve slipped over a process pipe from the outside that both insulates and heats, closes with clasps and can be removed when required. By wrapping the pipe it reduces heat loss, and the heating element inside makes up the remaining difference. That is its only difference from fixed insulation: when work on the line is needed, the jacket is not cut away — the clasps are opened, and it is refitted when the job is done.
A heated pipe jacket is a flexible sleeve that wraps around the pipe. It contains a heating element and a layer of insulation, and its outer face is closed with a hard covering able to withstand site conditions. The jacket is slipped over the pipe, its clasps are closed, and when power is applied that section of pipe heats up.

Installation
Fitting a heated pipe jacket needs no welding, cutting or special tools. Follow the sequence without changing it.
Electrical connection: The jacket supply must always be taken through a residual current device. Earthing must not be omitted. Have the connection made by a qualified electrician.

Which diameters does the heated pipe jacket fit?
There are two diameter bands: DN10–DN50 (3/8″–2″) and DN50–DN150 (2″–6″). The choice is made by the nominal diameter of the pipe. For pipes above DN150 the jacket is made to measure.
Which lengths do you sell?
There are six stock lengths: 40, 70, 100, 150, 200 and 300 cm. If your measurement falls in between, round up to the next length. For single pieces longer than 300 cm, production is made to measure.
Can I remove the jacket and refit it?
Yes, that is exactly what the product is designed for. You isolate the supply, let the jacket cool, open the clasps, set it aside, and refit it when the work is finished. The same jacket is used on the same pipe again and again.
Do I need to add insulation over the jacket?
No. The insulation is part of the jacket's own construction. Wrapping additional material over it prevents heat escaping and causes the jacket to overheat; the jacket must be left uncovered.
My pipeline already has heating cable — is a jacket also needed?
For long straight runs, cable is the right solution. A jacket is for short sections that are worked on frequently — around pumps, at measuring points and on dead legs. The two are not alternatives but are used together.
