Überblick
Self-regulating heating cables are cut to length on site. The cut end cannot be left open: it creates a risk of short circuit and fire between the conductors. These kits are used to terminate a heating circuit safely, to splice two cables together, or to connect the circuit to a power cable. Every circuit must have at least one termination kit.

Seals the far end of the circuit
Seals the free end left after the cable is cut, in a watertight manner. At least one is required on every circuit. It does not connect the circuit to the supply; it only seals the end.
Kit for splicing two heating cables
Splices two heating cables
Used to splice two heating cables where the cable is not long enough or the circuit is divided. The joint is insulated and protected against water and moisture. Needed only at splice points.
Kit for joining heating cable to power cable
Connects the circuit to the supply cable
Connects the supply end of the heating cable to the power cable. The choice for installations where the supply is taken directly, without a junction box.
Cable connector
A ready-made, demountable connection
A 3-pole (L, N, PE) modular connector rated IP66 / 68, suitable for cable diameters of 6–10 mm. It removes the need for a junction box and coupling. Suitable for circuits that are worked on frequently.

- You will be cutting and installing self-regulating heating cable sold by the metre on site.
- You are building a pipe frost protection, roof and gutter, ramp or tank heating circuit.
- You want to extend or divide an existing circuit, or replace a damaged section.
- You will be making a connection outdoors, at a point exposed to water and moisture.
Nicht geeignet, wenn
- If you are using a cable with factory-sealed ends and a plug, no kit is needed; a plug-in pipe heating cable is a cheaper solution.
- If you will be bringing several circuits together at one point, a junction box is required.
- You are installing floor heating cable or matting; these products are not shortened by cutting.
- If you want the circuit to run according to temperature, separate control equipment is also needed.
Installation
The kits are applied after the cable has been laid. The general sequence is as follows:
Warning: Connections must be made by a competent person with the circuit de-energised. A cable end left open carries a risk of short circuit and fire.

Garantie und Support
The products are sold with a 2-year manufacturer warranty. The warranty covers defects in manufacture and materials; incorrect installation, use with unsuitable cable, or faulty work allowing water into the connection are excluded. Technical support: Monday–Saturday 09:00–17:00. If you are unsure which kit and how many you need, tell us how many separate sections your circuit consists of and we will advise before you order.
Häufige Fragen
What happens if I do not use a termination kit?
The conductors at the cut end are left exposed. On contact with moisture or water a short circuit occurs; the fuse trips and the cable may burn. Termination is not an optional accessory but a mandatory part of the installation.
How many should I order?
Allow 1 termination kit for every cut cable end and 1 splice kit for every joint. In addition, 1 splice kit or connector is needed for the supply end of each circuit. The length of the cable in metres does not change these numbers.
What is the difference between the splice kit and the connector?
The splice kit makes a permanent connection and is applied once. The connector can be disconnected and reconnected repeatedly and removes the need for a junction box. On circuits you may need to isolate for maintenance, a connector is the practical choice.
Do these kits work with every heating cable?
The kits are designed for self-regulating heating cables. The connector suits cable diameters of 6–10 mm; check your cable dimensions before ordering. If you are using a cable of a different construction, consult us.
Can I fit the kit myself?
The steps can be carried out on site, but because electrical connections are involved we recommend the work is done by a competent person. Insulation resistance must be measured before energising.
